Rusty Iron Acres is a small, family run mixed farm that raises purebred and registered American Blackbelly Sheep. Our sheep are raised naturally, with no growth hormones and antibiotics only if necessary.

 

We are located near Innisfail, Alberta, Canada.

 

Our primary business is supplying other producers with small breeding flocks or breeding stock to compliment their existing flocks. We have shipped sheep throughout Canada (coast to coast) and imported Rams from the USA. 

In addition we sell goverment inspected, custom processed lamb. We have a strong customer base in the Calgary area. Our customers speak highly or their "farm to plate" lamb.

We run approximately 55 registered ewes and a minimum of 3 mature breeding rams.

 

 

 

2026 lambing will begin in late April/May. We expect to lamb out 50 ewes this spring.  

This season, we bred with Rusty Iron Ragnor and Seven Bells Harry.

We accept 25% deposits to hold, or alternatively we can put you on a waiting list We have several bloodlines in ewes and rams and can put together unrelated breeding groups.**

This award is given to families who have homesteaded land and continuously farmed that land for over 100 years.  2026 marks 125 years!

We are very proud of this accomplishment. It represents a tremendous amount of hard work by our family members.
